We leave our bikes behind and fly into Marrakesh. A transfer to Ouarzazate and we are ready to be introduced to our KTM 450 EXC's and to get straight into the action. The remoteness of this Adventure dictates a 4x4 support vehicle to provide mechanical and medical backup, and to carry our bags! Long days and luxury hotels.

The riding is a balanced blend of rocky mountain trails, and some some sand, with the opportunity to conquer Morocco’s highest dunes reaching 205m at Erg Chebbi. Enjoy our support and encouragement, both in preparing for your Adventure in Morocco and accompanying you on it.

Max Adventures

 

rallyadventurebike 'Max Adventures' are held abroad, and are organised to maximise the amount of riding whilst minimising the amount of time off work (typically no more than 5 days).

​

We select areas that give us contrasts in landscape, cuisine, culture, riding, climate, terrain and space in comparison to the UK. They are the highlights of our riding year!

​

Included with every rallyadventurebike Adventure is a trip specific version of our ‘Adventure Ready’ course. These are a great opportunity for everybody to meet before going away and will guide you in the preparation of your bike, what tools and spares to take, what and how to pack, navigation equipment, and how to deal with trail side breakdowns and emergencies. This knowledge will give even greater confidence and enjoyment on the trip.

  • Southern Algarve, Portugal.

  • Bike transport provided, fly in and meet it there.

  • 5 days riding.

 

We transport your bike to and from the Algarve so that you can access some of the finest Adventure Bike trails in Europe in the most time efficient manner possible. Leave the wet and grey winter weather behind and fly in to Faro to be reunited with your bike after a short 45 minute transfer. Blue skies and temperatures in the mid 20's beckon!

 

The trails are endless, sweeping and carving through the beautiful landscape - Eucalyptus and Olive plantations in one direction, the Atlantic coast with its cliffs and sandy beeches in another. We tailor the route to those taking part, from open and flowing to rockier tracks which are excellent preparation for Morocco. A special treat are the optional hill climbs for all confidence levels to enjoy.

  • Road trip to French, Swiss and Italian Alps.

  • Eurotunnel to Calais.

  • 5 days off work for 8 days riding!

 

Our tarmac only tour, but no less of an adventure - just a different type of challenge! We travel East across France to the historic city of Verdun before heading south through the beautiful Vosges Mountains and along the side of picturesque Moselle river.

Then into Switzerland and Italy to conquer 12 of the best passes in the Alps. We tick off the famous routes as well as some that are less well known. All have been selected for their ability to challenge, thrill, and inspire! Some of the big names - Stelvio, Susten, Furka, Nufenen, Gotthard, and San Bernadino, and that is just half of what we will be riding! We will master iconic routes used for the Tour de France, past James Bond film locations, 'The World's Best Driving Road' according to Top Gear, and the highest paved roads in Italy and Switzerland. All the time enjoying truly epic scenery.

​   Desert & Mountain​

  • Northern Spain and the Pyrenees Mountains.

  • Ferry from Portsmouth to Santander. 

  • 5 days off work for 6.5 days riding!

​

We travel South East from Santander, south of Pamplona (of Bull Run fame) to a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and location of three Natural Parks called Las Bardenas Reales. This area extends to over 100,000 acres and includes semi-desert which was used as a backdrop to many Spaghetti Westerns, and more recently for the Game of Thrones.

​

Then we travel East along the planes to the South of the Pyrenees and start arcing North into the foothills of that mountain range, reaching its spine and highest peaks in Andorra. You will conquer the famous Smugglers Trail before heading back along the Pyrenees to our ferry home.

​

An amazing mix of terrain from the lunar like landscapes of the desert region to the craggy Pyrenees.

​​​   Peaks & Plateaus​

  • Picos Mountains, Spain.

  • Ferry from Portsmouth to Santander. 

  • 5 days off work for 6.5 days riding!

​

We are very lucky that this sparsely populated and wild area is so accessible. Our route will take us through the heart of the Picos mountains and on to three ‘Reserva de la Biosfera’ and four ‘Parque Natural’. We will be climbing mountains and cruising across plateaus. We will see vultures and eagles, and perhaps hopefully not the Brown Bears and Iberian Wolves that make this wilderness their home!

Fabulous character hotels with the option of a rest day, or a day riding without luggage, in the middle.
